The issue for the Lions is not their heart, as they take the passionate personality of the coach. It all boils down to the way they finish games.

The Lions just tied the Steelers 16-16, bringing their record to 0-8-1, but they had so many chances to win the game in overtime. Detroit drove down the field multiple times just to be stopped before field goal range.

The one time they got a chance to win the game in overtime off of a field goal, the kick ended up being a complete shank. This game ended in a tie, but the rest of the close games were lost devastatingly.

In week one, Detroit came roaring back to play a close game in the fourth quarter against the 49ers. This was winnable but more of a good effort.
