Extra Spicy Take: Super Bowl Edition

The NFL standings at this point in the season may surprise you, and debates about which teams are Super Bowl contenders have already begun. Some people believe that Tom Brady and the Buccaneers will win a Superbowl for the second year in a row, but the other playoff-caliber teams in the NFL look dangerous this season. I think Super Bowl 56 will have a very interesting and unique matchup.

Let’s start with the AFC; Their most serious Super Bowl contender is easily the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen is having an MVP worthy season already, and the Bills’ defense has looked more than reliable for a majority of the season. The biggest concern for the Bills is keeping their play makers healthy. If Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders and Zack Moss are all ready to go come playoffs time, and the defense is still forcing turnovers, this Buffalo team could be unstoppable.

The NFC has a lot of really good teams, but there’s only one team that would make football fans across the nation shiver in their trousers if they end up in the Super Bowl. The Dallas Cowboys. That’s right. I think Dallas’ high-powered offense, which is led by a top 10 quarterback in Dak Prescott, has the ability to make to the Super Bowl once again. Other offensive play makers like CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper and Ezekiel Elliot will all need to contribute, but they are an elite unit. You can’t forget about the Cowboy’s defense which is led by players like Trevon Diggs, Demarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons. If the Cowboys can continue to assert themselves atop the NFC East standings, they are legit Super Bowl contenders.

An outlandish Super Bowl take wouldn’t be complete without a score prediction, so I’ll take the Buffalo Bills to beat the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl 56 by a score of 38-30.
