Baseball Is In The New York State Of Mind

It is the first time in a long time that the Mets and the Yankees are both goods in the same season. New York final has two of the top five teams in the MLB, and we are not afraid to brag about it.

New York is taking over baseball with the Mets leading the NL East at 29-17 and the Yankees leading the AL East with the league’s best record of 32-13. There is no doubt that both of these teams can make a deep postseason run.

The Yankees have a loaded lineup with all of their stars performing night in and night out. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are leading the team to meet their “Bronx Bombers” mantra. Stanton demolishes the baseball and Judge leads the MLB with 17 home runs.

The bonus for the Yankees is Nestor Cortes who is pitching like a Cy Young award candidate. He has a 1.80 ERA, which is one of the best in the majors and throws teams off with his funky pre-pitch release.

The Yankees might have a better record than the Mets, but they do not have the same level of pitching. The Mets have one of the deadliest starting rotations in baseball top to bottom with a great supporting cast and bullpen.

If Edwin Diaz keeps pitching like his younger self and Degrom comes back from injury, this team can go all the way. Max Scherzer will be back in a couple of months, which will give the team two of the best pitchers of all time.

The question for the Mets is if they can get consistent hitting, and this year the team is full of fighters. Pete Alonso is mashing with 11 home runs, while hitting for a .275 average. New additions Starling Marte and Mark Canha have solidified a solid lineup.

The pitching for the Mets allows them to go all the way, while it is the bats for the Yankees that can bring it home. NEW YORK STAND UP A WORLD SERIES IS COMING HOME.
