12 April MLB - Dodgers vs. Giants Preview (9:45 PM EST)

Tonight, we get another look into this longtime Dodgers and Giants rivalry with one of the best pitchers in recent history on the bump for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Clayton Kershaw gets the ball tonight in San Francisco, facing this Giants team for the 57th time tonight and 26th start in San Francisco. Look for a repeat in history and a great get-right spot for the, who some might say, struggling Los Angeles Dodgers.

When Clayton Kershaw and Alex Cobb face off Wednesday night in San Francisco, it will be a battle of old vs new in terms of this baseball rivalry. Cobb, who is not “new” to the league by any stretch, will only be making his 5th career start vs the Dodgers, with all of them coming since the start of the 2022 MLB season. Cobb, in those four previous starts, comes into this one with a 4.28 ERA and a .232 OBA against the Dodgers since making his first start against the team in late July of last year. In those four starts made by Cobb, the Giants have struggled, losing all four of those games by an average of almost three runs per contest.

The Dodgers are in a good spot tonight, even with coming off a tough loss to their divisional rival, where they left eleven men on base and went 0-8 from the plate with men in scoring position, and here is why. The Dodgers have dominated the Giants as of late. Before losing last nights game the Dodgers had won 14 of the last 16 against the Giants, which included an 8-game win streak at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Look for the Dodgers to start a new streak tonight, with a hall of famer in Clayton Kershaw going for the Dodgers and a pitcher in Cobb, who has shown, he cannot handle this Los Angeles Dodgers lineup.

Adams Pick:

Los Angeles Dodgers -1 (-130)
